Abby had her heart completely set on an outdoor ceremony. Fortunately, a few clouds weren’t going to change that! The couple exchanged their vows right at the wedding arbor overlooking the quiet pond. To bring her vision to life, Abby chose a gorgeous palette of whimsical wildflowers. This theme was beautifully carried all the way down the aisle, tucked into the lanterns that lined the path to the arbor and on the ends of each pew. Consequently, as the soft rain began to fall during the ceremony, the vibrant colors of the flowers created a setting that felt absolutely magical against the water.
Rustic Elegance at the Reception
After the outdoor ceremony, guests headed inside to dry off. They celebrated in a space that felt like a warm, welcoming extension of the meadow. Abby carried her wildflower theme beautifully into the reception decor. For instance, the tables were styled with rustic burlap runners. These were perfectly complemented by soft sage green and vibrant wildflower accents. As a result, it created a look that was both beautifully grounded and full of fresh, cheerful color.

After the outdoor ceremony, guests headed in to dry off and celebrate with an incredible meal. The fantastic Mis Arcos of Carthage catered the reception, serving up a delicious feast. This wonderful spread kept everyone warm, happy, and energized for a night of dancing.
A Guestbook to Last a Lifetime
One of the absolute highlights of the reception was completely one-of-a-kind. Abby and Austin wanted a unique way to remember everyone who shared in their big day. So, my husband crafted a giant wooden “S” for them to use as an alternative guestbook! Guests loved signing their names and leaving well-wishes on this beautiful statement piece. Furthermore, it’s not just a wonderful memory from the night, but a gorgeous piece of custom decor they get to hang in their home for decades to come.
